For now, here is a transcript of the ceremony, sans our short, personal vows for each other. Isn't it annoying the things you forget to save, sometimes!? Anyway, without further ado, here comes...
HOLY UNION CEREMONY
Please be seated.
Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to rejoice in and to
celebrate the love that unites Minikin and Heather in the Oneness
of Spirit. We recognize that this love we celebrate today is a
love that is expressed uniquely between Heather and Minikin.
REFLECTION: Let us begin this time of celebration and commitment
with a time of reflection. Let us be still and turn within to
the god of our individual understanding, recognizing the presence
and spirit of Love to bless this holy union. Let us now, in this
stillness, send forth our blessing of love for Minikin and
Heather.
MOMENTARY SILENCE
And so, Heather and Minikin, we behold you richly blessed with
the abundance of peace, harmony, wisdom, love and joy . . . with
every opportunity to embrace and express the wholeness in which
you were created. Beloved spirit, we thank you for the gifts of
love; the beauty of laughter, the tears of forgiveness, the
warmth of touch, the depth of human feeling shared in this sacred
commitment of life partnership. We thank you for your expression
in and through every aspect of this union. In your name and
nature, we thank you. Amen.
PURPOSE: True union is more than the outward recognition of the
joining in the bonds of life partnership of two persons. In its
right relation it is the uniting of two souls already attuned to
each other. The law of creation is first within, so without. . .
first the soul, then the body. When such a true bond already
exists between two people, it is fitting that an outer
acknowledgment be made. This acknowledgment is the prime object
of this gathering and this ceremony. We are here to bear witness
to the entry into the closer relationship of life partners of
these two beloved friends. They are already one in spirit, have
answered the call from their hearts to join together, and have
made a decision to love. And love is a decision as well as the
answer to our heart’s call. It is a decision that must be made
each day of a life partnership if that partnership is to be full
and rich.
Being one in Spirit celebrates the union that is possible, and
does not mean that individuality is lost...rather that
individuality is enhanced, for when love provides the fertile
soil in which one may grow and mature, each may grow strong and
free.
True love leads naturally, although not always easily to mature
love. It is mature love that provides the unshakable foundation
from which a marriage can grow strong and full and rich. Mature
love supports both individuals and the marriage between those
individuals. Mature love is not afraid of change, knowing that
the weathering of change is an opportunity to grow individually
and together. . .mature love seeks to understand rather than to
judge or to be right. . .mature love seeks to encourage the
growth of the other person in every level of being -
intellectually, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. .
.mature love is not threatened by outside interests for it knows
them to be the fuel for shared growth. . . mature love accepts
the beloved because of their faults, not in spite of
them...mature love loves on when the night is dark and the
morning far away. . mature love knows that in encouraging the
other person to be the fullest expression of who they are, that
the fullness of their partnership is expressed, and the self made
richer for it. Mature love sees the Truth, and celebrates. Let
mature love be your vision, and know that the presence of joy
expresses through you both in that vision.
This commitment you are making to one another is a sacred one, to
be entered into joyfully, but not lightly, and under the guidance
of infinite wisdom and divine love. Let us pause together now
and realize the presence of love within ourselves at this time.
To consider the love we all hold in our hearts for Minikin and
Heather as they consecrate and dedicate themselves to their own
enfoldment and the union of their souls.
HEATHER AND MINIKIN’S WORDS HERE

Minikin, please repeat after me. I, Minikin, accept you,
Heather, . . . as my friend and love . . .beside me and apart
from me . . .in sadness and in joy . . . in conflict and in
bliss. . . asking that you be . . . no other than yourself . . .
loving what I know of you . . .trusting what I do not yet know .
. . loving you as you are. . . loving you as you become . . .
what you will be. . . In heart . . . in mind. . . in spirit . . .
I share myself with you fully.
RING CEREMONY
MINISTER: may I have the rings please?
We bless these rings, symbols of purity and love. We bless also
Heather and Minikin, who give and wear these rings in the name of
Divine Love. May these rings serve not as locks, binding you
together, but as keys, unlocking the secrets of your hearts for
each other to know, and thus brining you closer in the infinite
love that links you, spirit to spirit and soul to soul.
(Person on minister’s right) Minikin, please place the ring on
the third finger of your partner’s left hand and repeat after me
. . .
Heather, with this ring . . . I take you to be my Life Partner .
. . and with it . . . I bestow upon you . . . all the treasures .
. . of my mind . . . of my heart. . . and of my hands.
(Person on minister’s left) Heather, please place the ring on the
third finger of your partner’s left hand, and repeat after me . .
.
Minikin, with this ring . . . I take you to be my Life Partner .
. . and with it . . . I bestow upon you . . . all the treasures .
. . of my mind . . . of my heart. . . and of my hands.
The oneness you create together is formed out of your willingness
to share the very essence of who you are, out of your willingness
to be vulnerable, to risk being totally authentic, and to share
from the depths of your soul. As you are willing to share all
that you are, and encourage each other to remember and celebrate
all that you are becoming, your love will deepen and your sense
of Oneness and intimacy will grow.
May you always seek to share your love and your inner light with
each other. The loving words and thoughts that you share will
bless and illuminate not only your hearts, but also the hearts
and minds of all of those whose lives you touch.
As you prepare to take your first steps together as Life
Partners, open your minds and hearts to receive this blessing on
you holy union. May your union bring you all the exquisite
excitements a union should bring, and may life grant you also
patience, tolerance and understanding. May you always need one
another - not so much to fill an emptiness, as to help to know
your fullness.
FLOWER CEREMONY
This ceremony between these two individuals recognizes and
celebrates their relationship not as something removed from
community but as a relationship that will deepen their community.
Community is more than the sum of individuals added together; it
is the creation of a family whose ties to each other are born
from the same love and connection that fuels the love between
these two partners.
The well of the family and community runs deep. Its love can be
inexhaustible. The more love that is drawn from this well, the
deeper it becomes. Each person of this community gathered here
today brings more love to the sense of family and community as
they add their unique gifts to help create the whole.
Just as each flower has it’s own individual beauty, so too do
each of us. When individual flowers are brought together in a
bouquet, the individual beauty of each flower is not lost, but
rather enhanced, creating a new beauty from the joining. The
flowers that each of you chose when you arrived can be symbolic
of the individual beauty and fragrance each person brings to a
family of community. Together they will create a family that is
greater than the individuals, each one retaining their
specialness and becoming a part of greater beauty.
I invite you now to come forward to add your flower and beauty to
this collective bouquet, allowing this symbol to open you to the
realization of your preciousness and beauty, of your rightful and
necessary place in the greater beauty of community.
FLOWER PROCESSION
May this bouquet of flowers serve to remind all of us always of
this special bond. Should times of disharmony arise as this
couple, family and community grow together, may they remember
their bond by the re-creation of this bouquet today. Let the
love that fills our hearts today, be renewed in that moment as
well.
Heather and Minikin, please join hands.
In the name of Love, who blesses every true union, I pronounce
you Partners in Life. You may seal your promises to one another
with a kiss.
SMOOCH!
Behold the beauty of the new creation!
