Most people visit a website with a specific purpose in mind, and will leave within seconds if they can't find it. That means that your site needs to be:
- Easy to use -- Site navigation is intuitive. Content loads in 30 seconds or less.
- Targeted -- Speak to your audience with content so precise, they'll think you have a spy cam.
- Balanced -- A harmonious blend of graphics and text.

PayPal
During my tenure at PayPal, I was asked to write a script that recognized the type of credit card a user had, simply by entering the first few digits of their card number. This code would be called inside a form and, upon identifying the card type, would both set that card type in the form, and 'grey out' the other card types. The keystroke, image interaction and logic was quite the challenge, but some javascript, CSS and HTML (originally written as XML) got the job done quite nicely.
Launcharoo
Launcharoo is a community-oriented web hosting provider. It is my company, so I came up with the name, brand identity, logo, and site design. I also coded the the entire website, and wrote all website copy. Maintenance and support for the site are done on an ongoing basis.
VarsityBooks
VarsityBooks sells textbooks direct to college bookstores and their students. They also provide online bookstores for the colleges as part of their eduPartners service. I was asked to redesign the eduPartners section with a professional, fresh look. I also created some supplemental graphics for the main VarsityBooks.com homepage. I coded the entire mini-site using javascript, CSS and HTML.
KellyZullo.com
Kelly Zullo is a folk/rock singer/songwriter. I came up with a friendly, earthy design, based on several mockups and conversations while she was on tour. Once a design was finalized, I coded the entire site using javascript, CSS and HTML. This site was discontinued a few years ago.
Marriage Equality California
Marriage Equality California (MECA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing full marriage rights for gay and lesbian couples.
MECA needed a site redesign. People were getting lost in the navigation and unsure where to get the latest news. The homepage was overloaded, but other pages were practically empty. The first image shows the original site. The second image is the redesigned site.
I came up with a new user interface and site architecture after extensive analysis of MECA's original site. Some sections were eliminated, some combined, and a few new sections were created. I recoded the entire site using javascript, CSS and HTML.
